Finger Lakes, wine country and NASCAR racing … now, that’s something we can tip our glasses, too. REV Group will toast Team Penske driver Brad Keselowski and the REV-branded No. 22 Ford Mustang during two days of VIP racing festivities as the company hosts 60 guests, including business partners and industry prospects, at the Aug. 6 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Watkins Glen International Speedway.
REV will welcome guests with a Friday night VIP dinner at Logan Ridge Estates, nestled on the shores of New York’s Finger Lakes and tucked in between some of the nation’s best wineries.
In theme with the wine country surroundings, REV will host an “untraditional” cocktail hour, featuring five wine-barrel stations situated on the balcony overlooking the lake. Cheese and chocolate will be paired with selections from one distillery and four wineries, complemented by passed hors d’oeuvres and a live guitar-saxophone ensemble. Keselowski will be introduced before dinner, featuring a four-course wine pairing.
Saturday’s festivities will include a trackside breakfast, followed by garage tours and then lunch. REV Group will have its own hospitality area inside Turn 10, close to the final stretch of the 2.45-mile road course. Watkins Glen International Speedway features a picturesque backdrop of lush, green mountains, a nice complement to the “tavern” suite that will be decked out in REV red and black.
Team Penske driver Joey Logano, who drove the REV-branded Ford Mustang during the May 14 Dover Race, will do a meet-and-greet with guests on Saturday before the race. The Zippo 200 action gets under way at 2 p.m. EST with guests rooting on Keselowski from the Turn 10 vantage.
Ryan Blaney, another Team Penske driver, will also be at the Glen, sporting his own REV-branded American Coach motorhome. Blaney, who is battling for the Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors, will compete in the Aug. 7 Cheez-It 335 at the Glen, which means we’ll be sure to toast his race, too.
Check back on Friday for a feature on Keselowski, the man behind the wheel this week.BACK TO NEWS
