Thanks to Successful IE Commuter Program

ENC, an innovative REV Group transit bus manufacturer out of Riverside, California, was recognized for its leadership during IE Commuter’s 2018 Rideshare Week Kickoff Event last fall.

The IE Commuter is a program of the Riverside County Transportation Commission and San Bernardino County Transportation Authority whose mission is to reduce traffic and improve air quality throughout the region by increasing the awareness and adoption of ridesharing.

The IE Commuter program helps employers set up customized rideshare programs (ride matching, rideshare incentives, guaranteed ride home, etc.) that benefit both their business and employees.

Brianna Briseno, Head of ENC’s IE Commuter Program, and HR Administrative Assistant was asked to present at the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Spring Rideshare Marketing Workshop. It’s thanks to her dedication and leadership that this program has been such a success.

In honor of Earth Day, the topics presented included:

  • ENC’s alternate fuel product offerings, such as its zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell bus (below) and compressed natural gas (CNG) powered transit bus with lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to diesel.
  • A CNG Fueling Station as part of ElDorado National’s Road to Sustainability
  • RCTO Air-Pollution Control Project
  • ENC bus’ 2019 Earth Day commitment to plant 500 trees in the regional area through the OneTreePlanted Fundraiser.

ElDorado National Bus’ IE Commuter Program was also recognized for the most incentives collected by a Riverside employer in 2017 and having a 20% improvement in its Average Vehicle Ridership (AVR) score from 2017 to 2018.

REV Group and ENC are proud to employ such dedicated and passionate individuals like Brianna. We know she will continue to positively impact ENC’s sustainability efforts along with the surrounding areas through various community involvement programs.
